House Tips by Big Wanda Knows

One of the most exciting days in Big Wanda’s life  was the day, her and Ricky Davis purchased their home.  They were now homeowners with the responsibility of maintaining their investment.

Their little part of the world had three areas that would always need attention. The inside of the house, the outside of the house and the yard.  Through the years, Big Wanda has learned what is the simplest and most effective way to deal with a problem.

There are three elements of a home that receive daily abuse. Big Wanda Knows you need to invest in the best flooring, energy efficient windows and a hardy roof.

Energy efficient windows are an investment but this investment will quickly appear with lower utility bills. Flooring and a roof are more of a long term investment. Both of these are getting battered and used daily and overtime you will start to see wear and tear.

When homes are being built the majority of the time the contractor builds these home with “contractor grade” materials. If you are in a home less than 10 years old and you see significant wear and tear in your home, it was made with “contractor grade” materials.

When Big Wanda purchased her home it was only 6 years old and the flooring was already destroyed. Big Wanda made an expensive decision to replace all the flooring in her home with high end premium name brand flooring. Big Wand has been in her home  since 1999, and all of the flooring throughout her home looks brand new. First she made an investment and she has also properly maintained this investment

Do not be cheap when it comes to your home. As a home owner you do not have to purchase the most expensive products — you just have to be smart about what you purchase.
